First Collection Manufacturer · MOQ 30

Your first collection,
taken seriously.

Most of our clients started exactly where you are: 3–12 styles, 30–50 pieces each, a brand nobody knows yet. A first collection is a market test — and we build it with the same discipline as a 500-piece reorder.

First-collection facts, upfront
MOQ

30–50 pieces per style, per color — 3–12 styles is a typical first collection.

Standards

Small does not mean sloppy: 3 inspections, AQL 1.0–2.0, mannequin try-on on every piece.

Sampling

2–3 mock-up rounds, final sample in 14–30 days — the fit proof comes before bulk.

Growth

One client's first run grew into an eight-year agreement — three new designs every month.

Your first collection is a test — we treat it that way

A first collection exists to prove sell-through, not to fill a warehouse. That is why 30–50 pieces per style across a few styles is the smart shape of a first run: real enough to read the market, small enough to survive being wrong about one style. One of our clients sold 28 of 30 blazers at a trunk show and re-ordered 150 of the same style — the data made the decision for her.

What "low quantity" does NOT mean here

It does not mean lower standards. The same three inspections per garment, the same AQL 1.0–2.0, the same mannequin try-on on every piece, the same video-documented packing. If anything, the first collection deserves more care than a reorder: a fit problem discovered at 30 pieces costs one style — the same problem at 300 pieces costs your season. That is why the mock-up rounds are not optional, even for a small run.

A plain T-shirt and a tailored blazer go through the same fitting discipline on our floor — the same perfect fit and shape standard.

How your first run becomes a reorder

The sequence our clients repeat: first collection proves which styles sell; the reorder scales the winners on data, not on hope; and while the first run is selling, we are already developing next season's styles with you. One client followed exactly this path from a small first run to an eight-year agreement with three new designs every month. The first collection is not a one-off transaction — it is the start of the development relationship.

The honest part about price

We are not the cheapest factory for a first collection, and we do not pretend otherwise: pattern making, grading and setup are fixed costs that a 30-piece run carries in full. Our minimum order value is $1,500 — reachable with 3–6 styles at 30 pieces for most constructions. Clients retail at $250–$1,000. If the lowest possible number is the goal, another factory will serve you better; if the goal is a first collection whose fit does not sink the brand, that is what we build.

Quick answers

Can I start with just 30 pieces per style?

Yes — 30-50 pieces per style, per color, across 3-12 styles is how most of our clients start. One client sold 28 of 30 blazers at a trunk show and re-ordered 150 of the winning style.

Is quality lower because my first order is small?

No. Three inspections per garment to AQL 1.0-2.0, mannequin try-on on every piece and video-documented packing are identical at 30 or 500 pieces. And a first collection arguably needs the mock-up rounds more — a fit problem at 30 pieces costs one style; at 300 it costs your season.

What do you need from me to start?

Sketches, a reference garment or even just the effect you want — we confirm the design in words and pictures first, then build the tech pack. Share your retail price range and we develop toward it, or tell you honestly if it is not reachable.

How does a first collection turn into reorders?

The first run proves sell-through; reorders scale the winners on data. While your first collection is selling, we develop next season's styles with you — one client moved from a small first run to an eight-year agreement with three new designs every month.
